Frame a Picture

Today is “Frame a Picture Day”.  At least it is on my personal calendar.  Last night I started thinking about a few things that I needed to get done.  You know those little ‘to do’ things that are so little, that you add them to your list of other “little” things to do and pretty soon that “little” to do list is a really BIG list!

And then it starts bugging me that I have this list and I’m not getting anything done.  Take for example the picture.  Paige and her dad went to the Father/Daughter Dance in February.  That’s right…..eight months ago they got all dressed up, went out to dinner and then went to a special dance to celebrate Fathers and Daughters.  There was a professional photographer there to take pictures of all the special “couples”!  A few weeks later, a picture arrives in the mail and it is so good!  Paige is all dressed up in a beautiful gold tea-length dress with a satin, gold cumberbun.  Her dad is decked out in his finest suit.  I just love the picture and thought, ”o.k., I’ve got to find the perfect frame”.

I sat the picture on the buffet in the dining room along with some other framed pictures as a reminder to go and get a frame.  That was eight months ago.

I know what will happen if I don’t go and get a frame.  I’ll eventually put the picture in a drawer and then completely forget about it.   That has been the fate of several pictures that I “intended” to get framed.  And this picture is just too special.

It’s just a frame.  Every corner drugstore has them, Wal-mart has them….how hard can it be?
