Writing Day!
It’s funny how a chain of events can lead to some really cool things….and you have no idea when that chain starts.
My writing day tomorrow is an example of that.
Tomorrow, my friend B. is coming from Jacksonville and we are going to spend the day writing. That wouldn’t be happening if we hadn’t hooked up at WAJ a few weeks ago, that wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t gotten to know each other at the co-writing retreat I attended in May (where I also decided that co-writing wasn’t as terribly scary as I had imagined it to be), and that wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t been attending WAJ and that wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t met the person who invited me to attend…..and, well, on and on and on I guess!
I’ve given B. directions to the mall exit; we’ll meet at Starbucks and have some coffee to wake us up. And also take a little time to get to hear about each other’s writing journey. I’m always fascinated to hear what led people to Write About Jesus…..the seminar AND the actual writing part!!
Then we’ll head to the church to write. I love writing in our sanctuary. Being there just inpires me. There is an altar nearby where I’ve shed lots of tears, where I’ve prayed with precious friends, where I dedicated my baby girls. Most of the songs I’ve written so far have been written there. I’m excited to share it with B.
We’ll break for lunch at some point and head over to the house so B. can meet Ben and the girls. He has three girls of his own, so he knows how crazy teenage girls can be!!
Then we’ll probably head back to the church to do some more writing. I may have to take him on the Valdosta tour……I haven’t decided what all is a MUST see….but I’ll figure that out!
I am SO excited! We’ve already talked about stuff we are going to work on and it is going to be so cool! And it makes me feel really grateful today for the chain of events that started all this. And thankful especially for a God who has wonderful plans for me that I can’t even comprehend!
