I’m not fond of commercials. So that’s why i had to find something else to
watch when the commercials came on during the Olympics yesterday afternoon.
I channel surfed to find a movie that i could flip back and forth and watch.
You know, a little beach volleyball, some movie time, beach volley ball, some
movie time!
I flipped over to the FX channel just as “Shallow Hal” was starting. I’d never
seen that movie. It has Jack Black in it and Gwenneth Paltrow. It’s about a
guy who only wants to date “hot” girls, and to make a long story short, he gets
hypnotized to only see the inner beauty. Thus, he meets and falls in love with
Rosemary (Gwenneth) who is gorgeous to him, but actually weighs about 300
pounds!
It’s really a good movie. And i especially loved the ending…..which i won’t give
away…..but when he sees a little girl named Cadence again, it’s pretty powerful.
Anyway, K. and i were laughing about some of the funny parts this morning and
she didn’t get to see the end so i had to tell her about the song….or actually, sing
it for her and even though it was an “old” one, she knew it. But she begged me not
to sing it.
So here are the lyrics:
She ain’t got no money
Her clothes are kinda funny
Her hair is kinda wild and free
Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
She talks kinda lazy
And people say she she’s crazy
And her life’s a mystery
Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
There’s something about her hand holding mine
It’s a feeling that’s fine
And I just gotta say
She’s really got a magical spell
And it’s working so well
That I can’t get away
I’m a lucky fella
And I’ve just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
There’s something about her hand holding mine
It’s a feeling that’s fine
And I just gotta say
She’s really got a magical spell
And it’s working so well
That I can’t get away
I’m a lucky fella
And I’ve just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
